Now we have another issue - the Oil Level Warning light came on - now this was after hundreds of KM of a service as well

Being a BMW engine, you have to find a level surface and run the test, which ranged from fine, to 500ml to 1 litre required

and different at various times as well - it also only occurred quite randomly

Likely its the sensor as the oil was checked, however it raises the Question

Say I was really crossing the Simpson and that light appeared - how do we actually know how much oil is in it or is it a sensor issue

There isn't a manual oil dipstick to check
