Ineos Grenadier Rusting Side Steps: A Real Owner's Experience

One of the most disappointing issues I've experienced with my Grenadier has been the Ineos Grenadier rusting side steps.

In this video, I document how the factory side steps developed pitting and rust almost from day one of ownership. After raising the issue, Ineos replaced the original set under warranty. Unfortunately, the replacement side steps have developed the same problem; there were actually already pitted within 150km driving on State Highway 1

This time, my warranty claim was declined, with the issue being considered outside of warranty coverage as being environmental damage. That has left me questioning the durability and finish of these factory accessories, especially given how quickly the corrosion appeared.

If you search online, you'll find that I'm not the only owner reporting Ineos Grenadier side step rust. Owners in multiple countries have shared similar experiences of premature corrosion, peeling powder coating, and replacement side steps developing the same issues. While experiences vary, the number of reports suggests this is not an isolated case.

In the video below, I show the condition of both sets of factory side steps, explain what happened with my warranty claim

If you're researching a Ineos Grenadier, this is a real-world owner's perspective to help you make an informed decision.
